Whole grains can help us to lose stomach fat?
A recent study in the journal American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that a diet with the calculation of calories, rich in whole grains, had reduced body fat happen  in obese persons waist.
Study participants who ate whole grains (in addition to five servings of fruits and vegetables, three servings of low-fat dairy products and two servings of lean meat fat, fish or poultry) lost more weight in the abdominal area than another group that ate the same diet itself, but with refined grains.
"Diets that are rich in whole grains, reducing refined carbohydrates alter the production of glucose and insulin, and easy to break down fat reserves," - says Penny Kris-Eserton, Ph.D., distinguished professor of nutritional sciences at Penn State University. - "Internal fat is more active for the metabolism and its easier to lose than that."
When you eat refined foods like white bread, it causes a series of events beginning with the rise in blood sugar levels followed by increased production of insulin, which can cause fat is stored more readily.
   But the food in the diet rich in whole grains (which are also generally higher in fiber) helps improve insulin sensitivity. This, in turn, helps the body make better use of blood glucose, lower blood glucose levels and reduce body fat.
Regulations of the U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends that half your daily servings of grain was from whole grains.
"Consumption of whole grains exclusively may be difficult and unrealistic for many people the task," - says Christina Rosenblum. Instead, it recommends that "tends to consume more whole grains because they are high in fiber, which satisfy hunger for longer period and helps you eat less."
